Amelia Lungheart and Chuck Douglas took to the skies and then took to the ground by practicing their first landings ever over the weekend. They landed successfully twice at YUL much to the delight of the passengers (Only one of whom had food poisoning from eating the fish). The pilot, Lungheart, took the unusual approach of ensuring there was a fresh pot at all time despite that being the copilot’s job. The copilot, Douglas, managed the flaps and then flapped his gums at the air traffic control tower needlessly. He’s up for demotion in the Spring.
While the first flight went off flawlessly, the second flight required intervention from the intern, who corrected a rules-of-the-sky mistake before it turned into a catastrophe. In spite of the near miss, both Lungheart and Douglas earned their wings and will take to the skies again.
A Rogue Wave brew from Kenya filled the mugs at the table while a late lunch of salads kept the aviators fed.
