Inspired by their father’s firm’s success in lumber and lumber derivatives, Carmichael Walnut declared: “SPACE MIRRORS! Space mirrors are the future and Walnut Industries will, as it always has been, be at a forefront! Now where is space and how many trees grow there?” Archibald Larch and Cornelius Dogwood joined the ill-fated, generational mission to Mars. The trio, widely known as the Timber Trio, after successfully made the surface livable after nearly 15 generations.
Larch contributed the most to the endeaver earning a solid 85 government approval points. Her company’s efficient use of green space and their extensive contribution to the necessary warming of the planet turned out to be pivotal in the final counting. Cornelius Dogwood took a solid second place with the Woolen Cows of Mars brand of natural fiber and ethical leather being the backbone.
While putting in a respectable third place finish only 7 points behind, Carmichael’s decision to invest extensively into her insect collection might have undermined the company’s efforts. Billions of dollars and thousands of man hours were spent flying insect specimans from Earth to the head office on Mars. When asked for comment, Walnut Industries only said that they were swept up by the buzz. They did build a Space Mirror. They named it Alice.
The work was aided by a phenominal brew from Phil and Sebastian and rations of baked goods and crisps rounded out the crew supplies.
